Blog Swap with Craftify It!

Today I am swappin' it up with Staci from Craftify it. She is darling and has a fun tutorial for you. Make sure you check out all the other fun things she has going on over at her blog.

HI! My name is Staci; I blog over at Craftify It...
I know it is not really a word, but let's pretend like it is.

I live in Mesa, AZ, married to my BEST FRIEND, we have 2 adorable...yet rowdy little boys that keep us on our toes every day! I also teach preschool out of my home, but am currently enjoying summer break!  Just a fun side note about me...I met my husband in Kindergarten! Yep...I joke that we fell in love on the tire swing:) Even though I don't really remember him, but we do have the Kindergarten picture to prove it! When sending out our invites, we copied off our kindergarten picture...circled our heads, mailed our teacher an invite!  Bet she didn't have too many classmates fall in love down the road!

I love my family, love staying at home with my boys, but I craft to stay sane! We all need our own creative outlet! About 5 years ago, I made a clock for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day & haven't stopped! I now sell Custom Clocks , enjoy the fact that I can make money doing something that I LOVE!

Craftify It is about to reach it's 1st Birthday this month and I have LOVED getting to know new friends through blogging this past year & I can't believe all of the talent that I come across daily! I'd love for you to stop by my blog and say Hello sometime! I'm holding a giveaway on July 26th to say THANK YOU to all of my readers!

We just moved into our house in October & so we have been BUSY working on making it a home and post all of our before & afters along the way! There are SO MANY GREAT ideas that I have come across through blogging & I especially love it when I find a GREAT idea that I feel like I could replicate!

That is my goal. When I make something, I want to teach YOU how to make the same thing! I win...You win! :)

I recently came across the idea to use RIC RAC to make Rosettes & want to give you a little "  How To"   right here, right now...

You just need some Ric Rac...

some beads, a needle & thread.
I bought 2 packages of ric rac(one in each color) & a strand of 99cent beads from Walmart...so this project cost about $3.00.

Double your thread & make it long enough to fit over your head(since I'm not using clasps of any sort).
String your beads about 1/3 of the length of thread & then start your 1st rosette.
You will just start rolling it into a circle...

and then stick your needle straight through the middle of your rosette.
Now, cut off the extra & use a little fray check on the end & start adding more beads...

and then repeat the ric rac rosette in a new color...

and in no time at all, you will have your very own ric rac rosette necklace...

Now enjoy!

Ta Da! Easy Peasy! You can do it...I promise!

And IF you do...I want to see the finished product for sure.

THANKS Amanda for the opportunity to pop into your blog and say HI to all of your blog readers!

NOW...come check out Amanda's Post on my blog...you will be glad you did!
