Easy Off

Do you guys have cook tops that look like this?

I do. ummm.... gross!!

(This could be after one dinner. Or this could be a couple days. but really it could be after 1 Sunday dinner where I forgot about the gravy and it boiled over... oops.
I have a really bad habit of that.)

I would scrub and scrub but it seemed like I could never get all the grease or cooked - on food off and it drove me nuts! I would be at the cook top for 10 minutes with my little green scrubber and I would still have black on the white lines around the heating elements. ugh.

Then one day I was in the store and saw this:

I know it is an oven cleaner - but I thought
"If it can get some pretty nasty ovens clean,
I wonder if it will work on my cook top?"

And it does!! Yipee!

All you have to do is spray the easy off all over the mess -
it will foam so you will be able to see where you have sprayed.

Then wait.

I usually spray my cook top first, clean the rest of the kitchen and then go back to it last.

If you have a really bad cook top, just spray it before you go to bed and the next morning it will be ready for you.

Then all you do is take a damp rag and wipe it off.

The baked on food and grease will seriously wipe right off. -No Scrubbing-

It really is that easy!

Your cook top will look as good as new!

Once again:

Before: Yuck!

After: Yay!

Huh! Thank you for answering my question every time I clean the kitchen... darn that cooktop! I have a "stain" where my hard boiled eggs boiled over. Did you know if you boil them too long they explode? Yes. They do. :)

Great tip! I hate cleaning my cooktop and it seems like right after I get it clean we make dinner and it's disgusting again.

Thanks for the tip.

The manufacturer of my cook top says to use a razor blade. Been using it for a few years now and everything comes right off and it doesn't scratch it. Also, something else that works really well is Bar Keepers Friend. It's like Comet but works better. It comes in a gold can.

Home Depot has "Glass Cook Top Cleaner" that smells good and takes off everything! I love it! You just use a little and rub it in circles and viola! It's clean and so shiny!

Really looking forward to trying this and actually getting a clean cook top! Magic erasers were the only thing I've used so far to come close to clean and it still isn't. Thanks for the tip!
