Peeps Easter Sign

Hey Peeps! Since Easter is a week away – I figured I’d better get my bootie in gear and crank out some Easter Décor. But before I show the first thing I made – remember the Letterpress giveaway ends Monday night! (tonight!) Hurry and enter before it is too late!

Alrighty-then! The first thing I made is this adorable, glittery peeps sign.
And it must be cool because I showed to the hubs and HE even said “Wow, that looks really cool!”

I found these wooden duck at Michaels – I found them in the wood section where they have rainbows and ponies and basketballs and such – painted and non-painted. I am sure you can find something similar at any craft store.

Then I painted them bright yellow, mod podged ‘em and add a coat of yellow glitter.

While the peeps were drying I painted a board that I found at Roberts (40% off baby!) white – and while that was drying I used my Silhouette to cut out the word peep in a few different fonts. I used some vinyl I had, but you could use contact paper if you wanted. I applied the vinyl to the board and then painted the wood peep a few different spring colors.

After it was all dry I removed the vinyl and used sandpaper to rough it up a bit.

I found some pop dots in all my junk and used three each on the back of the peeps to get them to stick out a bit from the wood to add a little bit of dimension. Then I stuck the three peeps to the board and Voilà!

I love it!

What last minute Easter projects are you working on?
