If you follow along with my blog – then you know that I have been working on my daughters room and am getting ready to reveal it. I love making bows for my daughter and needed a place to display them. I know, I know, there have been bow holders made before out of all different materials – but this is how I made mine.
I found this picture at Hobby Lobby for $3! Score! And even though it isn’t my style I bought it for frame – it is so fun and darling! I love the swirly, flowery look – and I knew it would be perfect in my daughter’s room.
I tore through the paper on the back and popped out the picture.
Using the same blue I used here (Valspar “baby blue”) I spray painted the frame.
Then using chicken wire – which I bought at my local Lowes – I cut a piece just a little bit bigger than the frame.
Using my staple gun, I stapled down each piece of the wire to the back of my frame – I stapled it inside the groove where the glass would normally go.
Using my wire cutters I cut off the excess wire…
and was done!
I hung it up and I love it! It is perfect for her room.
It looks even better loaded up with flowers and bows!
After putting all the bows on the holder, filling it all up and stepping back – I realized that I need to stop making and buying so many – but then I laughed to myself because everyone knows that’s NOT going to happen – hahaha! - and decided that I need to make a couple more!
