I love Taco Salads – but sometimes buying the puffy, crispy taco shells can be expensive – So I just make my own – they are so inexpensive and easy – oh so easy!
First – You will need about a foot and a half of tin foil.
Second: Form your tinfoil into balls – don’t press them too tight. Leave them a little bit airy.
Third: Drape your soft tortilla shells over the tin foils balls.
Fourth: Bake in your oven for 5-7 minutes at 400 or until they are light brown around the edges. When you first take them out and they are hot – they may be soft in a couple areas but they should harden up.
Fifth: Fill them with your favorite taco ingredients: Refried Beans, Taco Meat, Cheese, Lettuce, Salsa, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Olives and garnish with a lime!
