Kiki Creates: September Calendar

Hi Everyone!  I am so happy to be here to celebrate Fall Fever with Amanda!
I am Kiki.
I blog at my little plot in blogland called Kiki Creates, where I love to share tutorials, projects, printables and the inspiration where it all comes from. I have even added on some fun contributors in the last month who share tips on Fashion/Makeup, Cooking, Photography and Health.  I'd love for you to come on over and visit!
Today I am excited to share with you a quick tutorial on how to make this fun little flip calendar.  It is colorful, fun and useful. And do want to know the best part? I will be sharing free monthly numbers and do-dads for each month on my blog.  September is my first installment!
First of all, lets get the base ready.  You will need:
A base sign (I bought mine at Michaels..in their unfinished wood projects. It is  11 1/4"x 7 1/4".  It cost $4.99, but with my 40% coupon, it was $3.00)
paint (any color you want your calendar base to be)
paint brush
book rings (i used big ones)
small c hooks (i used 5/8" ones..you can use smaller!)
something to drill holes.
Here is what I started with:
I painted it black, drilled holes..2 per card, and placed my c hooks in the bottom:
I added the book rings and a bit of glue (gorilla glue or any strong craft glue) to the back:
You are now ready for the cards.  Just simply punch the holes in them where you want them to hang.
I just love how fun it is each day to change the day...and it will be different each day whether the 18th..
or the 20th!
I gave you two options for the month sign this month:
and in case you want to give as a gift now..or say Christmas time..there will be a set of tags each month!
You can see everything included in the set here:
Thanks for having me, Amanda, and happy fall, everyone!

This is darling! I love the colors you picked! They are darling!
Thank you so much!
Make sure you come back tomorrow! Just Sew Sassy is in the house!
