I don’t know about you – but when I hear Fall I always think of caramel!
Homemade caramel, caramel apples and of course caramel corn!
There are just some things that are meant for Fall and yummy caramel corn is definitely one of them!
1 cup of popcorn kernels
1 cube butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/2 cup Kayro Syrup
1/2 t. baking soda
Pop 1 cup of kernels and pour the popcorn into a brown paper bag.
In a sauce pan melt butter and add brown sugar, salt and Kayro syrup. (stir. stir. stir.)
Bring to a boil.
Add baking soda.
The sauce will automatically foam up, pour it over the popcorn in the bag, close the bag and shake, shake, shake.
Microwave for a minute and a half – then shake, shake, shake
and repeat one more time.
I just spread mine out on a cookie sheet but you can put it in a bowl or form popcorn balls or whatever -
But keep an eye on it because before you know it – it will be gone!!
Little people like to sneak it!
