Can you believe that Thanksgiving is JUST next week?
My kids aren’t old enough to really get the “true” meaning of Thanksgiving and to realize how blessed our family is but my husband and I count our blessing all the time and during the month of November is no exception! However this year, we decided that instead of thinking about all the things that we are blessed by, we would try to focus on things we do to bless the lives of other people – sort of like service! I feel like when I really start thinking of all the ways I can help others, then all of a sudden I see more and more things I can do. Does that ever happen to you? and yet somehow because of all your giving – you are somehow blessed! I wanted to be able to keep track of things we have done, so I made these cute little boxes for us.
I used the brand new line from Lifestyle Crafts called “Just For You” and can I just tell you how cute it is! I love this mini Bakery Box! (I already have plans to use it in an upcoming birthday party I helping to host!) It comes with some cute little labels to plaster all over the sides too. So I used those and made some labels for our little give boxes.
But I needed some wording too so I turned to the new High Rise lettering and it was perfect. I just love tiny little letters! There are three others you can pick from too!
Then I cut some strips of paper for us to write the things we have done.
This idea is perfect for any family – and the giving doesn’t even have to be that big – you could simply make someone’s bed (I would love if someone made mine! haha!) It is just all about giving to others and making them Thankful!
If you would like to make these cute little boxes you can find the items here – and Remember to use the code “CREATIVEENDEAVOR” to receive 20% off your entire purchase! YAY!! More money for other things!! Also don’t forget about the weekly I Made This challenges going on. This week you could win an iPad 2!!!
And one last thing – don’t forget about all the super cute printables they have – you must check them out – they are darling!
What projects are you working on for the big day of THANKS? I would love to hear about them!
