Painted Wooden Valance

I have been working on a few projects around my dining room (this weekend I was finally able to spray paint!! yipee!!) like painting while my husband hunts (sneaky. sneaky.) and stenciling the walls --- another project I completed was a painted wooden valance for our French doors.

I wanted something fun and unique to go above our door so, with the help of my awesome hubby, together we made a wooden valance!

Can I just tell you how hard it was for me to take pictures of this – the light coming in the window was totally throwing me off!

Anyway – this valance is one of my favorite projects that I have done in a while. I love the crown molding and the color! I want my kitchen to be light and airy so I am bringing in lighter colors and more white and the light blue with the light green walls and the while curtains and accents are perfect!!  (You will see more of that later!!)

Tomorrow is ROUND 4 of Creative Bloggers Got Talent (please come and vote!) and then on Wednesday I will show you how we put this fun little valance together and give you all the details – I was just too excited about it that I wanted to share it with you!!

What fun projects have you guys completed around your house that you are totally loving?

I am linking to these Awesome Parties!
