I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to all the sponsors, contestants and judges that made this whole contest possible. This was so much crazier than I ever thought it would be – but hopefully it was worth it to you all -

So now that it is all said and done – let me know – did you like the contest or no? Did you like seeing the different contestants competing or do you feel like there are already so MANY contests that this one really didn’t matter – I would love to hear your honest feedback!!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I won!!! I was nervous all weekend, everyone's projects were so good throughout the whole contest.

Amanda, feedback-wise - I loved the contest! I had a lot of fun doing it and it was great motivation :) That being said, I do feel that it went on a little long a people lost interest. I think next time I would eliminate more people each round and make it a bit shorter.

Thanks so much for hosting, I know it had to have been a ton of work and I appreciate it!

Congrats to the winners! It was a tough competition from the start and it was fun to compete through a few rounds!
Everyone did a fabulous job!

As far as feedback... I would say, maybe the judges shouldn't have such a big vote. In my case it did help me during one round, but for others it didn't seem quite fair. Some projects the voters loved and the judges didn't, so they barely made it to the next round. And then there were projects the voters didn't really like but the judges did so they were pushed up to the front and a voter favorite was bumped out of the running.
That's just my thoughts.
But overall it was a super fun competition and I hope you host it again in the future! :)

I agree - thanks for doing the contest, it was super motivating and pushed me to do a lot of things I was previously a little hestitant to do (using power tools, building furniture).

I do think that it went a little long and, as far as judge votes, I think that if the average votes didn't come in around 40 a piece, 20 points would have been fine. If you expect that same number of votes, though, I do think you should decrease the judge points to around 10 or even 5. I think the value of judges is that they can boost or strike totals, but they shouldn't be the sole determiners.
