Thank you so much for all your sweet comments from my fun announcement!! I can assure you that I am NOT having twins!! Just ONE little boy! (If I were having twins – my title would have said something to the effect of “please pray for me!” haha!) But I still have a lot to work to do to get ready for baby #3!
But first I wanted to share one of my family’s favorite recipes!
My mom and dad have been making this recipe for as long as I can remember and now I make it for my family -
everyone who I have ever made it for absolutely loves it!!
Now stay with me as I show you how to make it because you would think it would turn out differently –
but I promise it is so yummy!
You will need:
Mustard and Brown Sugar?? WHAT??
I know. I know. It is true -
My husband HATES mustard but he LOVES this dinner.
I promise, it doesn’t taste like mustard.
Add about 1 packed cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup mustard…
… and mix. It will turn into sort of a pasty mixture.
Spread it over your slices of ham.
It will be pasty and will have a hard time spreading but keep at it.
Bake it in the oven at 400 for about 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness of your ham slices.
The oven works magic! It turns the pasty sauce into a honey glaze sauce!
I always pair it with au gratin potatoes and green beans – delish!! I think it goes best with potatoes – even a backed potato is a really great side.
