Polka Dot Treat Stand

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter – you know that a couple weeks ago I went to a fun little blogging retreat called Breathing Space in Daybreak! We got to stay in model homes with fun roomies and I had a blast! On Friday night my roomies and I hit up Harmons for some snacks and we stumbled upon some really cute plates – polka dot plates! I can’t remember who, but someone suggested we all make cupcake stands – being probably the only person in the world to have never made one – I was all for it! But then I spotted the fun little bowls and my mind started thinking of all the great things you could put in a bowl! So we decided to make {Treat} stands instead!

There were a few different colors but I decided to go with green because I am loving this color lately! You can pair it with pink for a girls party or a turquoise for a little {or big} boy party – I mean, any color really is awesome with green apple!!
Oh how I love polka dots!!

I love how it turned out and made a simple little tutorial for you to make one too!!

How to make a treat stand

1. I found a fun large plate, a small plate and a bowl!
2. I used candlesticks from Dollar Tree and using White {Rust-Oleum} Spray paint, gave them a few good coats.
3. Using E-6000 I glued the candlesticks and the plates together – in the middle!!
4. I let it dry for a couple hours and was done!

Easy Peasy!!

What do you think?
I am thinking Fruit and a Yummy Dip!
Or Nachos and Cheese!
Or Veggies and a Dill Dip!

All my cute roomies are posting their treat stands today too so you can see how they all turned out!

Love all those cute treat stands! Breathing Space sounds like it was a blast, and I was sad that it was scheduled the weekend my son got baptized. Hopefully they do it again1

Found you through A Little Tipsy! Thanks for the tutorial. I want to make a fruit stand now! Much easier and prettier way to have all your fruit out for people to eat, plus it separates it from each other.
