Hello everyone!
I’m Sumo, or Summer if you wanna get formal.
I blog over at Sumo’s Sweet Stuff.
It’s my little place in the blogging world where you can come to find sewing and crafting inspiration. Sewing is my favorite creative outlet, but I’m not afraid to bust out the Mod Podge and paint when the mood strikes. You might also catch me professing my love of Target (or the popcorn store as we call it), talking about my relationships with Lucy (Cameo) and Veronica (sewing machine), or bragging about my three beautiful girls. I have an extreme fondness for Diet Coke, my minivan, historical fiction, and most sweets.
I am so excited to be posting over here for Amanda. I get to see Amanda from time to time in real life, and just think she is great, don’t you?
Today I thought I’d share a super simple, but super tasty Halloween treat: Candy Corn Chow. Aside from it not taking long to prepare, you can totally customize this for any holiday or event!
Here’s what you need:
- popcorn
- white almond bark
- candy
- sprinkles
Start off by popping that popcorn! I love how it makes my house smell delicious! (We are popcorn-a-holics over here).
Melt your white chocolate almond bark in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between. While this is in the microwave, be sure to get all the un-popped seeds out of your popcorn. Once it is melted, add in your candies and sprinkles. If you know me, you know that I have an obsession with candy corn, so of course that is what I used for this!
Pour your chocolate/candy mix into your popcorn and stir it around, coating the popcorn.
Spread the popcorn out on a baking sheet to harden. Go ahead and add some more sprinkles and a drizzle of milk chocolate. You can put it in the fridge to speed up the process.
Once it has hardened, break it into pieces and serve it up!
It would make a great little gift if you wanted to put it in a cute bag with a note.
Unless you eat it all first. Not that we know anything about that….
Thanks for having me over here today! Come on over to Sumo’s Sweet Stuff!
This looks amazing! I am a huge popcorn fan so I cannot wait to try this!
I would love for you to link up your creative projects at this weeks Pin It Party!!
